G-Force Movie Review

So I heard about this movie through my father and then through a TV commercial and what really got me excited was that it was about guinea pigs!

I thought to myself, “I just have to see this!” And since all of you are guinea pig lovers, I thought you would like to hear about it.

The movie is about three guinea pigs and a mole who work for the FBI using high-tech equipment, manufactured by their overseer, who runs the organization that trains animals for espionage, to communicate with people. The conflict starts when some higher ups from the government come in to shut down the operation.

The main characters are Darwin, the team leader, Booster, the weapons and transportation expert, and Juarez, martial arts.  The mole is Speckles and the unit leader who runs the organization is Ben.

After Ben’s boss comes in to inspect the organization and operation, he decides to shut it down. He also states that the guinea pigs knew too much about the FBI, and said he would have to do something about it. Ben follows his superior outside to discuss things and his assistant helps the guinea pigs escape. But they end up being taken to the pet store, where they meet Hurley. A fellow guinea pig who lives there.

Booster and Juarez end up being bought by an older man and his two grandchildren. Darwin tells them to escape at the first opportunity and rendezvous at Ben’s place. Meanwhile, he is still stuck in the cage with Hurley and Speckles. Speckles gets an idea to play dead and wait until  the employees bury him in the backyard, it would be an easy escape since he is a mole. However, instead of burying him they threw him in a dump truck parked outside.

Darwin finds a way out of the cage and manages to escape. Hurley accidentally falls out of the cage as well and decides to stick with Darwin until they reached Ben’s house.

I know not everyone likes spoilers so I will leave it at that.

All in all I thought it was a cute movie. My favorite guinea pig would have to be Juarez, shes just so cute.

However, I want to include that the release of this film may cause younger kids to want guinea pigs only because of what the CGI guinea pigs in this movie do. I’d like to take a moment to stress that even though the things these piggies do are cool and flashy, it doesn’t mean that real guinea pigs will or can do the same thing.  Please refrain from doing something that may cause harm to your guinea pig.
